In Demir’s words:

“This I Swear is a song about a man who had been on an altruistic path, giving all he’s got to make things work with life and people. In the end he feels that he’s been doing that to satisfy his own ego. He realizes that he had made many mistakes while trying to do good and as the saying goes he realizes that “the road to hell is paved by good intentions”. And then he meets this woman and she is the only one who takes a chance to love him. And, he is forever grateful. He swear that he will be true to her forever and devoted himself to her. “

The official video for the single was shot in Austin, Texas and will be released shortly. Here is the “Behind-The-Scenes” video including a short interview with Demir Demirkan:

Elysium In Ashes out May 31st

Turkish guitar wizard DEMIR DEMIRKAN has achieved rockstar status in his homeland and has relocated to Austin, TX to build his foundation here in the states. He’s launching things off with an electrifying music video for his lead single “Bring It On” that portrays a group of outsiders rebelling against the norms and pre-designed social stereotypes. The track is off of his first album in English, Elysium In Ashes which is set for a May 31st release via Demir Demirkan Records.

“’Bring It On’ is a rebellion against conformity,” explains Demirkan of his new hard rock single. “We’ve turned into a society shaped by trends, which are led by corporations and deeper politics. It’s a stand against whatever media or the market throws at us to conform. We can be free of all standards that are pressing on us for someone’s profit, whether it be politics, belief systems, media, fashion, or the market trends.”

Elysium In Ashes was recorded in Istanbul by Serkan Ayman and Berk Ilkic, mixed in New York City by Grammy Award-winning producer and engineer Mario McNulty (David Bowie, Prince, Nine Inch Nails), and mastered in North Carolina by Grammy-nominated mastering engineer Dave McNair (Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, Rod Stewart).

Demir Demirkan’s new album Elysium In Ashes will be released on May 31st. His new single “Bring It On” is now available digitally worldwide. The power trio includes Demir Demirkan (vocals, guitar), Kerem Tuzun (bass) and Arbak Dal (drums).

New Single from Demir Demirkan – “Bring It On” drops on April 12th, 2019!!!

April 02, 2019

Demir Demirkan’s new single “Bring It On” is scheduled to be released on April 12th, 2019 on all digital platforms, worldwide.

Bring It On” is an all-out, heavy rebellion against conformity. The sound and the style of the song is in Demirkan’s unique “3rd millennium take on classic heavy metal”.

In his words: – I’ve always been a singer/songwriter and my way of expression in music is Hard Rock and Metal. I grew up in the 80’s and was influenced by artists like Metallica, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen and etc. So maybe my style can be described as “Heavy Metal Singer/Songwriter” or something. I like soaring melodic vocals and sometimes rhythmic chanting, and love playing Metal riffs and shredding solos! I guess you put these all together in a modern production and it all comes up to what my style is…

Here is the detailed info on Bring It On:

Vocals & Electric Guitars: Demir Demirkan

Drums: Arbak Dal

Bass Guitar: Kerem Tuzun

Recorded at: Babajim Studios, Istanbul and Bahcekat studios, Istanbul

Mixed by: Mario McNulty in NYC

Mastered by: Dave McNair
